Just a quick heads up that the latest version of Google's Android operating system has been released. If you are the proud owner of a Nexus 7 then you should be getting the update to 4.1.2 sometime today or tomorrow if you haven't gotten it already. Going by past releases we can expect to see 4.1.2 pop up on other Nexus devices like the Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus soon too. But what does this minor but important nonetheless update bring? Well it's nothing big. There are the usual bug fixes and increases in performance, but that is really all that has been noted so far. Keep in mind this update has just come out so we haven't got a full look at all the new features. The only known feature added (besides what I already mentioned) is the ability to put your Nexus 7 tablet's home screen into landscape view.
With each successive update, Android slowly becomes even better then before. I'm still waiting out for some of that key lime goodness that we'll hopefully be getting soon.
