Brick Wars #43

Don't you just hate it when you say 'you too' to someone? Don't worry, BD-1023 hates it too.

That's about all I have to say about this comic, but don't worry. Very soon we'll be meeting an old friend, along with some new characters!

Have yourselves all a good weekend, and see you next week!

Brick Wars #42

And BD-1023 is in space! The story is just motoring along now, isn't it? This strip was actually super easy to photograph, as I only had to take pictures of  BD-1023 and the Vulture Droid. The main work came in editing the pictures.

I'm satisfied at the way the pictures turned out, and also the shift in tone that occurs when the droids leave the atmosphere.

Anyways, I'll see you next week, as the story continues!

Brick Wars #41

We have a new character! The Vulture Droid is one of the Trade Federation's many starfighters equipped with droid brains to crush their enemies.

Though this one here looks like a nice guy.

Lego has released a few different versions of the Vulture Droid over the years, but this is the original version, released back when the Phantom Menace came out. I had to track down the instruction manual and build him from scratch, as its been a while since I last assembled him.

And it's been a while since we last heard from BD-1023, hasn't it? Only time will tell if he succeeds in his mission...

Brick Wars #40

Oh dear, is Jar Jar experiencing some voter's regret here? Though voting a political candidate for Queen based on the quality of her smile would be conducive to that sort of thing, wouldn't it?

I do love the sound effect bubbles that I sprinkled around this comic. The software that I use to create the comic has them preloaded so I just type in what I need and go. It's kind of like WordArt in that respect, actually.

Well anyways, see you next week!

Brick Wars #39

Always good to have some of that ancient Gungan wisdom on hand. It comes in handy an awful lot, I find. In fact, I try to live my life by following at least one piece of Gungan wisdom per day.

And I originally had this scene be the end of the chapter, and they would jump to lightspeed afterwards, but I decided that the story needed more closure than that, and extended it. To see how I'll do that, tune in next week!

See ya,
